Meet - Zahra, one of our young and talented Fashion Studies students. Zahra started studying #allthethings (including Design, Illustration and Sewing) with us over the Summer and has continued to take classes throughout the Fall to work on her arts-based high school applications. She’s been busy sewing up garments as well as honing her drawing skills so that she can present her work and be ready for what High School has to offer.

I’ve loved seeing her work evolve over the last few months and particularly love to watch what she does on Social Media. She is an inspiring young designer who is already marketing herself as such. Check her out on Instagram as @zahra.s.fashion & @zsewcrafty .

I’m 13 years old in the 8th Grade in San Francisco. I became interested in Fashion during covid when I needed a hobby to pick up since everything was shut down. A hobby that turned into passion. 

I love making and sewing things and being able to see everything come together. 

What are your #fashiongoals and/or ambitions?

To become a successful fashion designer with my own brand/clothing. 

Do you think you'll pursue a career in Fashion or is this just a hobby?

Yes, I’m dedicated to pursuing my goal in being a fashion designer.
